History Of Designing & Developing Digital Experiences

Gibson began creating websites in 1999 for his pop-punk band, The Crimson Monkeys. Knowing the band needed a website in order to reach fans, Gibson set out to learn how through reading coding and design books. Soon, his fun and friendly websites were shared around his hometown of Houston. In the last 10 years, Gibson has helped launch over 50 websites as well as invest and advise multiple startups.

Through his career, Gibson has led design teams for large retailers (The Home Depot, Academy Sports + Outdoors), as well as major healthcare and energy clients. In 2015, he helped co-develop the multiple Award-Winning Mini Murals art program and honored as the 2018 winner of Emerging Business Leader by Greater Houston Partnership’s HYPE program.

2021 And Beyond

During the past year, Gibson has shared many virtual offerings including Creating Custom Coloring Pages to print and share, Leading Yoga Classes online for the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, and teaches Web Design Workshops for those wanting to create their own website. His current role is Senior UX Manager, helping enhance the experience while shopping HomeDepot.com and in-store.
