Photography + User Experience

Traveling to new places shows me new perspectives. When studying UX, one of the most important rules is “you are not the user”. When traveling, it’s a clear indicator I am not the user as it’s not my normal journey. I love meeting discovering places and meeting the people who can show and tell me where to go, what to do, what their “happy path” may be.

Whether it’s impressive architecture, beautiful mountains, or messy street art, finding these gems spark joy in my life. Photography is one of my creative passions and travel keeps me inspired.

2021, Heavenly, South Lake Tahoe, CA

2014, EaDo, Houston, TX

2021, Palace of Fine Arts, SF, CA

Turrell Skyspace, Rice University, Houston, TX

When I’m inspired to take and share a photo, my artistic process involves 10-15 steps of editing including removing objects, adjusting color levels, and adjusting the perspective as needed. All of the above photos were captured and edited with apps on an iPhone.
